Dr. Mary Mazurek (PhD 2022) will be part of the panel discussions 鈥淎dventures in Live-streaming鈥 and 鈥淒EI Work in Audio Engineering Higher Education.鈥 She will additionally serve as an adjudicator for the Student Recording Competition and moderate the DEI Town Hall meeting during the 157th Audio Engineering Society Convention in New York, October 8-10, 2024. Dr. Mazurek will present the paper 鈥淎esthetic Noise as Contemplative Practice鈥 based on a chapter from her forthcoming book Aesthetic Noise: The Philosophy of Intentional Listening on Routledge during the panel The Inmost Light: Analog, Esoteric & Occult Sound Practices in the Art Studio and Classroom at SECAC in Atlanta, GA.
